Nancy Pelosi to decide impeachment process for the Senate? A pocket Impeachment?

Nancy Pelosi Decides

CNBC – After the House of Representatives voted to impeach President Donald Trump, Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Wednesday began a game of chicken with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

In a press conference following the historic vote Wednesday night, Pelosi told reporters that she wanted to see how McConnell, R-Ky., would lay out the trial’s rules before she sent over the articles to the Senate. “We can’t name managers until we see what the process is on the Senate side, and I would hope that would be soon. So far, we haven’t seen anything that looks fair to us,” Pelosi said. Pelosi’s stance was an apparent attempt to pressure McConnell, who will hold significant power once the impeachment proceedings are passed from the Democrat-led House to the GOP-controlled Senate.

So Nancy Pelosi is going to decide not only the House impeachment process but the Senate too? See what Nancy Pelosi said in this short video:

Yahoo – Pelosi added that “so far, we haven’t seen anything that looks fair to us, so hopefully it will be fair – and when we see what that is, we’ll send our managers.” When asked what she would consider a fair trial, Pelosi responded by quoting Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s recent remarks on the impeachment proceedings. “This is what I don’t consider a fair trial – that Leader McConnell has stated that he’s not an impartial juror, that he’s going to take his ‘cues,’ in quotes, from the White House, and he’s working in total coordination with the White House counsel’s office,” she said.

Pelosi would not say whether she’d wait “weeks” to transmit the articles to the Senate and initially sidestepped a question about “never” sending the articles over.  She later clarified that she “never raised the prospect” of not transmitting the articles at all. “It’s up to the Senate,” she said when asked about a timeline. Nevertheless, some are starting to wonder if Pelosi will do a pocket Impeachment. What would be the advantage of this?

The Democrats aren’t dumb. The notion of Trump being convicted and removed from office in the Senate is slim. On the one hand, some believe a slow walk trial will give a chance for the Republicans to expose the nefarious acts of the Democrats. Specifical calling Joe Biden himself to explain his dealings in Ukraine, but there are many more in the deepstate. There may be some even on the Republican side. Never Trumpers specifically, that may be part of the deepstate, may even turncoat on the Republican Trump base itself – traitors? Pelosi, would not want the Republicans to get the upper hand in a long drawn out impeachment trial exposing Democrats and draining the swamp of never Trumpers – better to do a pocket Impeachment.

On the other hand, a quick Trump exoneration, with a short rapid Senate trial, will make the Democrat’s efforts of less effect. Better for Pelosi to do a pocket Impeachment, saying we can’t get a fair Trump impeachment trial, and leave the doubt in people’s minds going into the 2020 elections.

CNS News – There maybe even a more nefarious reason for a Pelosi pocket Impeachment. Conservative talk-radio host Mark Levin suggested that one of the reasons why the House Democrats are impeaching President Trump so quickly is because they want to cripple Trump from being able to select another justice for the Supreme Court, either in the last 12 months of his term or even if he is reelected to a second term.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg appears to be very ill. A year is a long time at the age of 86. A pocket Impeachment is like a joker in a deck of playing cards. In the event that a Supreme Court Justice could be nominated to replace Ginsburg or any other possibility, Pelosi could pull her joker card out to block. Pelosi could say that Trump has no moral right to nominate a Supreme Court Justice as an impeached president that has yet to be exonerated. Legally perhaps this has no merit, but the Fake News media and the rest of the anti-Trump gangs would rally to support the idea – how successful this would be is questionable.

We shall see where all this goes, but the drama of the Trump impeachment process is far from over. What we are witnessing is an ongoing coup against a duly elected president. Regardless of your political persuasion, we can not let this stand. We all should be outraged and take action to make our voices heard in opposition to what our government is doing to us the people.
